For Families
This page is the central hub for Bakersfield Race Club families. Here you will find the documents, policies, and information you need to support your swimmer throughout the season. Resources will be added as the club prepares for its inaugural season.
Club Handbook
The BRC Club Handbook covers everything a family needs to know before and during the season: practice expectations, meet participation, communication standards, code of conduct, fees, and more. All families are expected to read the handbook before their swimmer's first practice.
Policies, expectations, meet participation guidelines, communication standards, code of conduct, and program overview for all BRC families.
Safety
Bakersfield Race Club maintains a written Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for each facility where the club trains. The EAP outlines emergency procedures, designated roles, communication protocols, and the location of safety equipment at each site.
All coaching staff are required to review and acknowledge the EAP at the start of each season. Coaches are trained in CPR, AED use, and basic water rescue prior to the start of practice.
Facility-specific emergency procedures for all BRC practice sites. Reviewed and acknowledged by all coaching staff each season.
